What the code means
Same H zero-line as H7, but IT6 — a tighter finishing grade, typically honed or jig-ground.
Formula
H6 at Ø20 mm
ES / EI +13 / 0 µm
IT6 = 13 µm
Limits 20.000 / 20.013 mm
Ø20 H6
How we use this in the toolroom
We see H6 on ground holes in die sets and on high-grade jig bushes. It is not a pocket class — if the print says H6, expect a reamer, bore or grind, not an end mill.
The numbers come from ISO 286 tables, the same charts Accurate Industries uses in Pune for dies, moulds and precision tooling. AlwaysReach is the browser version of that lookup — see our story.
