URL and text encode as raw strings. Email uses mailto:, phone tel:, Wi-Fi the WIFI:T:…;S:…;P:…;; convention, and contacts a vCard 3.0 block. Error correction L–H trades density for damage tolerance — use Q or H if you will overlay a logo.
PNG is for the web; SVG stays sharp at poster size. Keep enough contrast between foreground and background — check colours in the contrast checker if you stray from dark-on-light.

L (~7%), M (~15%), Q (~25%) and H (~30%). Use M for general links. Use Q or H if you will overlay a logo or expect damaged print. Higher correction makes a denser code.
PNG is a raster image sized in pixels — good for slides and the web. SVG is vector — crisp at any print size and easy to recolor in a design tool.
